Amazon Customer 5 When I started violin lessons, it was with a cheap Violin Shaped Object (VSO) with even worse strings. They sounded horrible and when they broke, my teacher handed me one of her Dominant strings to replace it and it made my VSO sound like a real violin. So I soon replaced the other strings with Dominants. When I bought a proper violin for $500, it's strings were pretty crap, too, and as soon as one of them broke, I put the D from my new set on there and it sounds fabulous.Highly recommend!
